What Problems We Are Solving

We provide holistic and sustainable solutions to the pressing challenges faced by children, youth, and communities, particularly those in vulnerable and marginalized situations.

The key problems we solve include:

1Poverty and Unemployment

  • Problem: High levels of unemployment, especially among youth, lead to poverty, dependency, and a lack of opportunities for a stable future.
  • Solution: We provide vocational training, job creation programs, and entrepreneurship development to equip young people with market-relevant skills. By transforming waste into products and promoting sustainable practices, we offer innovative solutions to generate income.

2Mental Health and Well-being

  • Problem: Many communities face mental health challenges, especially among youth, which are often overlooked or stigmatized.
  • Solution: IDI integrates mental health support into all our programs, offering counseling, emotional well-being services, and awareness campaigns. We help clients build resilience, cope with challenges, and reduce stigma around mental health.

3Climate Change and Environmental Degradation

  • Problem: Climate change threatens agricultural productivity and livelihoods, especially in communities reliant on agriculture. Environmental degradation further exacerbates poverty.
  • Solution: We promote climate-smart agriculture and environmental conservation practices, such as renewable energy solutions (e.g., solar projects) and sustainable farming methods. Our programs help communities adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

4Lack of Access to Human Rights and Resources

  • Problem: Many children, youth, and marginalized groups lack access to basic human rights, resources, and opportunities due to discrimination and systemic barriers.
  • Solution: IDI advocates for human rights, educates communities on their rights, and ensures equal access to resources and opportunities. We work to empower marginalized groups, particularly women and youth, to claim their rights and contribute to community development.

5Migration and Community Stability

  • Problem: Migration, often driven by economic hardship or environmental degradation, can lead to instability and conflict within communities.
  • Solution: We address migration-related challenges by fostering peacebuilding initiatives and promoting dialogue within communities. Our programs aim to stabilize communities, reduce conflict, and create peaceful environments for growth.
