IDI - REGIONAL OFFICE

The International Development Initiatives – Africa (IDI) operates with three country offices located in Lesotho, Botswana, and Uganda. The Regional Office is headquartered in Lesotho at Plot 1431, Liboxi, Thetsane, Maseru 100.

The office plays a pivotal role in strengthening and coordinating programs supported by the IDI country offices. It is responsible for:

  • Resource Mobilization and Allocation: Ensuring adequate funding for programs across the region.
  • Donor Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong partnerships with donors.
  • Technical Oversight: Providing strategic guidance to country programs, ensuring they align with regional strategies and deliver measurable impact.

Gilbert Sanya

Expert Consultant in Advocacy, Research, and Development
Gilbert Sanya is a seasoned consultant with over 20 years of experience in international research, advocacy, and organizational development across East and Southern Africa. He has held pivotal roles with renowned organizations like Save the Children, World Vision, UNDP, and IOM, championing issues such as child protection, women’s rights, migration, and urban development.

An expert in program design, implementation, and policy development, Gilbert has led impactful initiatives for vulnerable groups, including children, migrants, and domestic workers. His consulting portfolio includes evaluations, baselines, and policy reviews for organizations like SOLIDARMED, Tearfund, and Child I Foundation.

Gilbert’s expertise spans diverse sectors, including livelihoods, maternal health, youth employability, and climate-linked migration. With advanced education in Development Studies and Community Leadership, Gilbert continues to shape impactful strategies that address critical social challenges, positioning him as a trusted leader in regional advocacy and development.
